Privacy Policy — Livare Home

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or buy from livare-home.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. Last updated: 10 September 2026.

1. Who we are

If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, email us at the address above and we will respond within 30 days.

2. What data we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, delivery address, billing address and telephone number when you place an order
  • Account details if you create an account, including your password in encrypted form
  • Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter
  • The content of any message you send us, including support emails and product reviews

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and browser information, operating system, screen size and language settings
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Pages you view, products you look at, what you add to your basket and how you arrived at our site
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies — see section 7

Information we receive from others

  • Payment confirmation and fraud-risk indicators from our payment processors. We never receive or store your full card number.
  • Delivery status from our carriers
  • Advertising and analytics identifiers from platforms such as Google and Meta, where you have consented to those cookies

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

What we do Lawful basis
Take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns and refunds Performance of a contract with you
Send order confirmations, dispatch notices and other service emails Performance of a contract with you
Answer your questions and provide customer support Performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in running a responsive service
Screen orders for fraud and prevent misuse of our site Our legitimate interest in protecting the business and our customers, and compliance with legal obligations
Keep accounting and tax records Compliance with a legal obligation
Improve our products, site and merchandising through aggregated analytics Consent, where analytics cookies are used, or our legitimate interest where the data is aggregated and not identifying
Send marketing emails about new products and offers Consent, or our legitimate interest in contacting existing customers about similar products, which you can stop at any time
Show you advertising on other platforms and measure whether it worked Consent

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights and concluded that they are not. You can ask us to explain that assessment, and you can object — see section 8.

4. Marketing

We only send marketing emails if you have asked us to, or if you have bought from us and have not opted out. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service emails about an order you have placed, because we need those to fulfil the contract.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Shopify Inc. — our ecommerce platform, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf
  • Payment processors — to take payment, verify it and process refunds
  • Fulfilment partners and suppliers — who pick, pack and dispatch your order, and therefore receive your name and delivery address
  • Carriers, including Royal Mail — to deliver your parcel and provide tracking
  • Email and marketing providers — to send the emails you have asked for
  • Google Ireland Limited — for Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing, and for website analytics, where you have consented
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — for advertising measurement and audience targeting on Facebook and Instagram, where you have consented
  • Professional advisers, accountants and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or need to establish or defend legal claims

Each of these acts either as our processor under a written contract, or as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

6. International transfers

We are established in the United States, and some of our service providers are located outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. That means your personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries whose data protection laws differ from those in the UK and EEA.

Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, which are the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional technical and organisational measures required. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguard by emailing us.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember your basket, to understand how the site is used and — with your consent — to measure and target advertising.

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your basket and secure checkout. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies tell us which pages and products people use, in aggregate.
  • Advertising cookies let us show relevant ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram, and measure whether they led to a sale.

Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you have accepted them in our cookie consent tool, which appears the first time you visit. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our site. Withdrawing consent stops any further use of those cookies, and does not affect the lawfulness of what was done while your consent was active.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working.

7a. Advertising and measurement

Google. Where you consent to advertising cookies, we use Google Ads to measure which adverts lead to a purchase and to show you relevant adverts on Google Search, YouTube and partner sites. This involves setting Google cookies and sending Google information about the pages you viewed and the value of any order you placed. Our consent tool passes your choice to Google using Google Consent Mode, so that Google adjusts what it collects according to what you allowed. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Meta. Where you consent to advertising cookies, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure the results of adverts on Facebook and Instagram and to build audiences for future adverts. The Conversions API sends information about your visit and order from our server to Meta. Where it includes your email address or telephone number, these are hashed before transmission so that Meta receives a coded value rather than the detail itself. Meta acts as an independent controller for parts of this processing under its own terms; its privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Both providers may combine what they receive from us with data they already hold about you. If you do not want this, decline advertising cookies in our consent tool, or use the advertising controls in your Google and Meta account settings. You can also object at any time by emailing us — see section 8.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Erasure of your data, where we no longer need it and are not required to keep it
  • Restriction of how we use your data while a query about it is resolved
  • Portability — to receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another controller
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time, with no reason required
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of what we did before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, email support@livare-home.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113). In the EU it is the authority in your country of residence.

9. How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records — 7 years from the end of the financial year, to meet accounting and tax obligations
  • Account details — for as long as your account is open, and 12 months after you close it
  • Marketing preferences — until you unsubscribe, and then a minimal record of your opt-out so that we do not contact you again
  • Customer support correspondence — 3 years from the last contact
  • Analytics and advertising data — in line with the retention settings of the provider concerned, typically no more than 26 months

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.

10. Security

Our store runs on Shopify, which is PCI DSS compliant, and all traffic to and from this site is encrypted using TLS. Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processors and never reach our systems. Access to customer data within our business is limited to the people who need it.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affecting your data occurs and is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will tell you without undue delay, and we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours where required.

11. Automated decisions

Orders are screened automatically for fraud risk by Shopify and our payment processors. A high risk score may lead us to review or cancel an order. This screening does not by itself produce a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and a person reviews any decision to cancel. You can ask us to review such a decision by emailing us.

12. Children

This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. Some products on this site are sold to adults only. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or through a notice on the site before it takes effect.

14. Contact

Questions, requests and complaints about your personal data go to support@livare-home.com.
